People aspire for a boy suckling
Not for a girl suckling
Their benedictions are for masculine
Not for feminine

When they admire audacity
They supplicate to Goddess Durga
When they hunger for knowledge
They appeal to Goddess Saraswati
When they have thirst for money
They importune to Goddess Laxmi

So, why tergiversate
to have a Goddess in their genre

When they see sky
Kalpana Chawla comes to their mind
When they expect peaceful sleep
Mother's lap comes to their mind
When they desire help
Their sisters comes to their mind

So, why they feel reluctant
to have an angel in their family

Don't kill a girl in womb
When she might bring country to bloom
Don't let their lives end
Before it even begins.
